St. John’s/St. Anne’s Outreach Center recognizes that to those in need, a hot meal can make a world of difference. Our Welcome Table (Soup Kitchen) is open to all who are hungry and/or lonely. They come to either enjoy a hot, nutritious meal and/or to enjoy some social interaction with others. Guests sit down at round tables for a family style meal and are served by volunteers in a warm, convivial atmosphere. There are no residence or eligibility requirements for the Welcome Table (no ID is required) and it operates on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Volunteers from area organizations and churches provide, prepare, and serve the meal. We often have guest speakers who give an overview of their offerings such as: GED programs, health clinics, job fairs etc. While the purpose of the Welcome Table is to provide a nutritious meal, it is also an important entry point to services for individuals and families who are homeless or living in poverty. The Welcome Table serves over 12,000
meals each year. We continue to see an increase
in the number of meals we serve. In June of 2012,
the Welcome Table served 1,713 meals, and in August of 2012 it served 2,005
meals. Hours Tuesday and Saturday 11:30 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
