The School Supply Program is designed
to provide low-income families with some of the materials needed to start
off the school year. St. John’s/St. Ann’s Outreach Center recognizes
that having the right school supplies is the first step to doing well in school.
By providing school supplies, the Center hopes to empower children to reach
their full potential. The Center currently provides supplies for children
in kindergarten through fifth grade prior to the start of the school year.
To be eligible, children must reside with an adult who is a member of the
Food Pantry (and be listed on their Food Pantry intake sheet). The
Center solicits donations from the community for the Program and in 2012
successfully provided school supplies for 131 children.
