St. John’s/St. Ann’s Outreach Center recognizes that many families in the South End lack the means to properly furnish their homes.  The Center is dedicated to providing these families with essential home furnishings.  This has an immediate, positive impact and provides part of the basic foundation on which a successful life can be built.  The Center collects donations of gently used furniture to distribute to the community and will even deliver large items such as couches (which the Center keeps in a storage facility).  Only members of our Food Pantry are eligible for the Furniture Program.  When a client comes into the Pantry, they can fill out a Furniture Request Form which lets the Center know exactly what items they need to furnish their home.  If the Center has these items, the Furniture Program Coordinator will contact the client and designate a date for the delivery or pick up of these items depending on their size.  St. John’s/St. Ann’s Furniture Program is currently the only program in Albany County that provides free furniture to low income families. 

Donations are always welcome and often moved directly to a waiting family.  Pickup is available in the Albany area.  Call 472-9091 ext. 12.
